Thinkcar 1-Year Software Update Subscription - Passenger Vehicle Scanner Renewal

The ThinkCar 1-Year Software Update Subscription renews the diagnostic software on your passenger vehicle ThinkCar scanner for 12 consecutive months from the date of activation. The renewal is delivered as a digital T-Code redeemed inside your tablet — no physical product ships. Without an active subscription, your scanner still performs every diagnostic function it had on the last day of coverage, but it will not receive new model-year additions, system additions, or software optimizations until you renew.

What the Subscription Covers

This renewal applies to passenger vehicle software only. It refreshes coverage across domestic, European, and Asian car and light-truck manufacturers, including new model-year files, additional system modules, bug fixes, and feature improvements pushed by ThinkCar during the active term. It does not include HD truck, heavy-duty diesel, motorcycle, or commercial vehicle add-on packages — those are sold as separate software bundles.

The renewal is keyed to the device serial number you provide at checkout. Verify the model and serial of your tablet before ordering — a code issued for one serial number cannot be re-issued to a different tablet.

How Activation Works

• You will receive a T-Code (text license key) by email after the order is processed.
• Sign in to your ThinkCar account on the tablet, open the Update or Subscription Renewal screen, and enter the T-Code.
• Once redeemed, the tablet downloads the current software image over Wi-Fi. No PC, USB cable, or VCI dongle is required for the update.
• The 12-month clock begins the moment the code is redeemed, not the date of purchase.

License Terms — Read Before Buying

• Term: 12 months from activation. There is no automatic renewal — when the term ends, updates stop until you purchase another T-Code.
• Bound to one device: The license is locked to a single tablet serial number and is non-transferable after activation.
• What happens at expiration: The scanner keeps every function and every vehicle file it had on the expiration date. New model years and any patches released after that date are unavailable until renewal.
• Piracy warning: ThinkCar subscriptions expire. If you see someone offering a non-expiring or "lifetime" passenger software license for a ThinkCar tablet, it is pirated and will be revoked by the server.
